Choosing your beads and tools

Making jewellery isn’t difficult when you have the right tools and equipment at your disposal. As well as having the right tools you also want to have a range of different beads and jewels to make the jewellery pieces from. There are many different beads that you can choose from for your creation and you will be amazed at the selection of beads that are on offer.

There are wooden beads, jewellery beads and glass beads that would look really amazing as a necklace or a bracelet for your friends or family. If you are looking to create items for Christmas presents, you might want to start thinking about it now so that you have enough time to create your masterpiece.

Once you have decided on your beads, you will need to make sure you have some jewellery wire either plastic or metal so that you can thread each of the beads into place. The beads can be secured on the wire using the right jewellery pliers. Jewellery pliers are delicate and will not damage the beads or the jewellery that you are making in any way. You will need to take care whilst using the pliers so they shouldn’t be given to children without adult supervision.
