Types of Pendant Bail
- Pinch Bails - these are the most common type of bails used to secure most pendants to most chains, if you inspect a simple pendant and chain necklace in any high-street shop it is more than likely to be secured together using some kind of pinch bail. They are easy to use, but sometimes the smaller ones can be a little fiddly. We have a huge range of designs from understated simple designs that just do their job, to ornate diamante bails if you are looking for a little bit of bling.
- Glue on Pendant Bail – are super handy if you have something without a hole you desperately want to transform into a necklace, as long as your pendant has some sort of flat side to it can easily be adhered onto your bail with a strong jewellery glue like the 5 Minute Epoxy Glue, then simply thread your chosen stringing material through the loop on your bail.
- Add-a-Bead Pendant Bail – perfect if you have a pendant but the hole goes top to bottom rather than side to side, or if you have a few little beads you want to create a pendant with, without the use of tools. Just unscrew one of the ends and slide your pendant/ bead on and simply re attach the ball finally all you need to do is thread your cord/leather/ chain through the hole in the add-a-bead bail. Alternatively hook them onto ear wires for a quick, easy and above all stylish pair of earrings. The best thing about these Add-a-Bead Pendants is that you can swap and change whatever you have on them as much as you like depending on your mood.
