Embellished jewellery is a must this season

The AW12/13 catwalks were bursting with embellished jewellery and designers including Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta and Marc Jacobs used dramatic beaded earrings, brooches and head bands.

Dolce & Gabbana showcased some exquisite head bands and earrings using detailed feminine flowers. Soft pastel colours were used for the flowers and metallic gold to create a show-stopping jewellery collection that every fashionista wants to get their hands on.

The impressive jewellery collection created by the famous Italian designers really adds the wow factor to the Dolce & Gabbana AW12/13 clothes collection and the jewellery designs are great for inspiration. The flowers almost look identical to our fimo flower beads, which come in a variety of colours including antique rose, caramel and violet.

Perhaps the most creative use of the brooch was seen slipped into the hair at Rodarte, emphasising the vintage influences of AW12/13 jewellery trends. The marvellous head jewellery can enhance braids and is the perfect addition to a chic updo.

Kirsten Dunst worked the look with an ethereal updo complete with a chic side-parting, ladylike twisting and an embellished floral headband. Kirsten’s accessory was from the Dolce & Gabbana collection and gives the actress an oh-so-pretty and almost regal edge.

Backstage stylist supreme Guido Palau explained exactly why these striking jewellery styles are so appealing and youth inducing. He commented: “This style’s huge appeal lies in the fact that it captures the perfect balance between effortless chic and Hollywood glamour.”
