Jewellery artists and other crafters often use these online marketplaces for listing and selling their work. These are some of the e-commerce websites that offer individual online storefronts or shops for selling your jewellery.
Etsy is an online selling center with a large reputation. It is similar to eBay, but does not have auction style listings. Etsy is an online market place that showcases handmade crafts. Opening an account on Etsy is free, and the listing fees are lower compared to listing fees at eBay.
EBay is a online marketplace where you can list your jewellery. You can choose to accept only bids for your item (an auction-type listing) or to offer the Buy It Now option, which allows buyers to purchase the item straight away at a fixed price. You will also be charged a small fee to sell your items on eBay
Folksy is a service that supports crafters and designers. It costs 20p to list an item for approx 6 months and they also charge 5% commission on all sells. Folksy is relatively new company, but has a reputation of being warm,welcoming and community-spirited.
MISI is a UK online craft marketplace and has been running since Late October 2008 and has already attracted more than 3000 sellers and is reaching 75000 visitors per month. They also put on various craft related Events, which brings the community alive, from the online to the offline world.
But remember to advertise yourself by making yourself known, which will increase the amount of traffic you get in your shop and get more sales!
