5 Tips For Wearing Neon Successfully
Neon is a bit like Marmite, people tend to love it or really really hate it. I must admit, I would consider myself to be the latter; my raving days are over and the sight of neon clad hen parties tends to make me shudder.
So when, out of nowhere, Swarovski introduced their Neon pearl bead range my jaw dropped to the floor.
The idea that such garishness could be embraced by one of the world’s most exclusive Bead manufacturers took me by surprise and got me thinking ‘Can Neon ever be classy when used in jewellery?’ So over the last few days, I’ve been doing my homework, swatting up on Neon do’s and don’ts.
Tip 1
A flash of Neon jewellery will complement the most basic of outfits. Wearing Jeans and T-shirts with an acid yellow necklace will transform your Sunday casual into catwalk cool.
Tip 2
Colour blocking hot pinks with glowing orange would work well but make sure to avoid garish prints. Keep things fitted or tailored.
Tip 3
Wearing neon jewellery with black will take you from Gothic to glamorous in one easy step.
Tip 4
There is no better place to experiment with fluorescent than on holiday. Neon looks amazing on dark skin. Wear bracelets with your beach wear or a brightly coloured anklet. Paint your toenails to match.
Tip 5
The truth is, wearing Neon correctly doesn’t have to be complicated as long as you follow one simple rule: KEEP IT SIMPLE!
