How to crimp an end loop

Learning how to effectively crimp an end loop is no easy task, especially if the jewellery maker attempts to hurry the task. Using a pair of flat nose pliers, follow each step below in turn without skipping any instruction – doing so would likely result in failure.

1 Thread a crimp onto the beading wire, then the clasp, take the end of the wire and thread it back through the crimp, push the crimp up to meet the clasp, but leave room for the clasp to move around, now squeeze the crimp flat with flat nose pliers.  Thread on your beads through both the wires.

2 To finish, place on your last bead, then a crimp and extension chain, thread the wire back through the crimp, and the last 1 or 2 beads, and pull this wire until there is no wire showing and the beads are pulled up towards the extension chain, again, leave some room for the extension chain to move.  Squeeze the crimp flat with pliers, and cut of any excess wire.

3 Squeeze the crimp flat with pliers, and cut of any excess wire.
