How To Make a Chunky Pearl Weave Necklace
Learn how to make this fun and funky necklace is made up of glass pearl beads, large belcher chain and brightly colored Chinese knotting cord.

Follow step-by-step instructions
Step 1
Cut a length of chain 68 links long.
Step 2
Take the cord and cut it in half. Take one piece of cord and tie a double knot onto first link of the chain.
Step 3
Thread an 8mm pearl bead onto the cord and pull it tight so that the pearl sits underneath the first link of chain and thread the cord up through the next link of chain.
Step 4
Thread another 8mm pearl bead onto the cord, pull tight and then thread the cord up through the next link of chain.
Step 5
Continue until you have used 38 pearl beads and tie a double knot in the last link of the chain and cut off any excess cord.
Step 6
Now tie the other piece of cord to the chain on the same link that you tied the first cord to.
Step 7
Thread a 6mm pearl onto the Chinese knotting cord, pull tight and thread the cord down through the next link of chain.
Step 8
Continue until you have come to the end of the chain and tie a double knot in the last link of chain. Add glue to all the knots to secure them.
Step 9
Now measure and cut 2 pieces of chain. 1 measuring at 2 inches and 1 at 3.5 inches. Attach these to the ends of the beaded chain using jump rings.
Step 10
Attach a 14mm lobster clasp to the shorter piece of chain using a jump ring.
Step 11
Place an 8mm pearl bead onto a headpin and make a wrapped loop. (If you cannot make a wrapped loop then a simple loop is fine). And attach to the longer piece of chain using a jump ring.
