Using glass and wooden beads

There are so many different beads for you to choose in order to make some beautiful jewellery. If you aren’t sure which type to go with, most people when they are starting out use wooden beads and glass beads. These are because they are easy to get hold of and easy to work with. You don’t want to be all fingers and thumbs when you are only beginning to make jewellery.

In the beginning you don’t want to be trying anything too elaborate. You need to get used to the different techniques and tools which are used for making jewellery first. You will need to make sure that you have everything you need to hand so that you can really get into your jewellery making with beads.

Wooden beads come in many different sizes and colours. You could make a beauty large pendant or necklace with big wooden beads and a matching bracelet with some of the smaller beads that are available. The same can be said for glass beads. Glass beads also come in a range of different shapes and don’t necessarily have to be perfectly round. They can be square, round or oblong shapes if you want them to be. You can be really creative with both wooden and glass beads.
