Jewellery Kit of the Week – Copper Love Heart Bracelet and Earrings Set

Copper Love Heart Earring and Bracelet Kit with Swarovski

This week’s jewellery kit is our Copper Love Heart bracelet and earrings set designed by Fran. The antique copper plated set showcases earthy tones and features Indian glass beads, Swarovski Crystals, Czech faceted glass beads and charms. Here’s how you make it!

For the bracelet, place a gold Czech bead onto a headpin and make a loop. Repeat so you have three in total, then open the loops and attach one to each of the heart and key charms. Place a Swarovski bead and a gold Czech bead on a headpin and make a loop. Repeat until you have three. Attach a beaded headpin with one heart and key charm and repeat so you have three sets.

Attach two leaf charms to a thick jumpring and make two sets. Place two bronze Czech beads and a red Indian glass bead onto an eyepin, make a loop and repeat so you have four. Link the beaded eyepins to the thick jumprings using thinner jump rings. To finish, connect each end of the magnetic fastener to the jumprings at either end of the bracelet.

To make the earrings, make a loop in the middle of a piece of wire and bend round the ends to form a heart shape (use a flat nose to make the bottom of the heart straight.) Wrap the other piece of wire around the straight piece three times. Make a loop with the remaining straight piece and trim off excess.

Place a Czech bead onto a headpin then make a loop, open it and attach to the loop in the middle of the heart. Place a Swarovski bead and a Czech bead onto a headpin and make a wrapped loop. Open the loop at the bottom of the heart and attach the beaded headpin to it.

To finish, loop an opened jumpring to the top of the heart and close. Open another jumpring then loop through the previous one and through the earwire. Repeat for the other earring.

Tools used

Wire cutters: Round nose, Chain nose.

Tips and Advice
When you are making the bracelet remember to space out the sections evenly. If you can’t make a wrapped loop a simple loop is fine.
