How To Use Acrylic Stones with Mounts

In keeping with this seasons ‘Street Jeweller’ trend, I have created these simple yet effective chain and diamanté bracelets using our new Acrylic Stones with mounts.

jewellery designs couldn’t be simpler

Traditionally these mounted stones are reserved for haberdashery projects, decorative headwear and footwear adornments. However, if like me, sewing just isn’t your thing, then incorporating them into jewellery designs couldn’t be simpler.

Luckily for you and I, each little mount includes 4 holes big enough to fit a needle or in this case; a jump ring.

Simply attach a jump ring and your required length of chain through the holes and hey presto you have a bracelet.

Of course, should you wish to replace chain in favour of beaded bracelets, simply pass elastic through these holes and string beads your beads as usual. Reduce the size even further to create dazzling chunky elasticated rings.

Designer Tips when using acrylic stones:

These bracelets require such a small amount of chain that they are a perfect way to use up off cuts from other projects.

When making elasticated rings you will need more beads than you would expect. After much trial and error I found that 12 to 14 beads fitted most of my finger nicely but increase/decrease this number depending on your own finger width.
