Alice In Wonderland Cameo Necklace and Bangle’s

This super cool Alice in Wonderland cameo cluster necklace is made using our brand new Beadsmith Collage Sheets. We’ve been really excited about these as we’ve been able to try them out with some of our new glue’s and glazes and we think they’re a really cool addition of any charm bracelet or necklace.

The collage sheets come in several designs including, fairies, flowers and art deco but we were the most excited about the Alice in Wonderland designs and our Office Manager, Janine has made up this example. The sheets come in 18x25mm Ovals (32images per sheet) or 23mm squares (24 images per sheet).

To make this necklace Janine used a selection of cameo mounts and used our 3D Crystal Lacquer to glue the carefully cut out images into the mounts and then used the Lacquer as a glaze to fill in the mount and seal the image. She picked some charms that resembled elements of the story and attached them so they overlap slightly to form a cluster design.

One thing to note is that if you get any air bubbles in your glaze you can try tapping them on the table to release the bubbles while still wet. If any end up in the final dry cameo mount why not add some little Swarovski crystals and other beads to cover these up like Janine did here.

Janine also made this ‘White Rabbit’ Bangle out of one of our Cameo Mount Bangles and used one of the images from the collage sheets and glazed over the top. Be careful here as these bangle mounts aren’t very deep so it can get a bit messy. They conveniently stand up on their own so that your glaze can dry flat. To finish off the bangle is wrapped in wire adding a Swarovski Fern Green Bicone every section wrap.
