Chip Beads

Chip beads are irregularly shaped bead slices, usually made of semi-precious stone. These natural beads add a quirkiness to your designs and come in a beautiful assortment of colours and textures and a range of different shapes and sizes for you to really play around with. Our chip beads work wonderfully in so many designs, from delicate, pretty designs to cool, bohemian looks; we love to mix them up with regular shaped round semi-precious stones or with Freshwater pearls for a contrast to the sharper edges.

Using Chip Beads

Not only wonderful for simply stringing, chip beads look beautiful with Kumihimo work or as a compliment to wire wrapping or use with leather and wooden beads for a natural, bohemian look. For a really personal gift, create a piece of jewellery for your loved ones using their birthstone, or gemstones that reflect particular properties personal to them; they'd work great arranged within a cameo mount with CD Crystal Lacquer, perhaps alongside a couple of Swarovski Bicones for a little sparkle! These beads really get your imagination going.
