Freshwater pearls are produced naturally by molluscs and mussels and as such, each one has a unique and individual beauty all of its own. Our stock of freshwater pearls at The Bead Shop is wide and varied and includes many different kinds of colours and shapes to choose from.
There is a threading hole of approximately 0.5mm in each pearl bead and all are available on a 38cm string in whites, purples, pinks and peacock colours.
You can buy them as a single string or as a group of 10 strings and the number of beads on a string for each bead size varies as follows:
Silk is the preferred choice for stringing together pearls. The Bead Shop’s Griffin silk cord is one of the best kinds of stringing material as it is easy to knot in between each bead to create a unique quality to your string of pearls. Take a look at our blog post on how to knot your beads to use this effective way of threading your pearls together.
