Kumihimo, which means means the ‘coming together’ (kumi) of threads (himo), is the ancient art of Japanese board braiding, where cords are combined with beads to create beautiful jewelry. Use this light weight, Kumihimo braiding disk along with your chosen threads to create gorgeous braiding projects quickly and easily. The 32 slots along the edge of the disk allow for non-slip braiding, and its portable, too, and will fit inside your handbag allowing you to work on the go!

This braiding disk comes un-packaged and includes our own illustrated instructions (see link) available to print at home, tips and a project idea!

ADVICE:

• To make a necklace you will need 8 separate metres.
• To make a bracelet you will need 8 x 1/2 metres.
• Use 3.5mm bell closers when weaving with S-Lon Cord
• Use 5.5 -6mm bell closers when weaving with 1mm cord.
• Use 8mm bell closers when weaving with 2mm cord.
