Bottom Hinge Calottes (4mm Cup) - Black Plated - 50pcs

Also known as clamshells, knot cups and necklace ends, calottes are used to cover crimp beads and knots;  perfect for giving your jewellery a professional finishing touch. The loop at the top is ideal for attaching your clasp using jump rings.

Bottom opening calottes are used with beadalon wire, nylon and silk thread.

To use, simply thread the wire or cord up through the bottom of the calotte and squash a crimp bead onto the wire to stop the wire slipping back through the hole.

If you are using nylon or silk thread, simply place the thread through the hole at the bottom of the calotte and knot several times. Secure the knot with glue.
