Clamshell Calottes are used with Beadalon wire, nylon and silk thread.

How to Use:

To use, simply place a calotte around the crimp bead and close. Trim the end of the wire so that the calotte can be closed easily. You can also use glue on the crimp bead inside the calotte to help ensure that the wire is secure. 

If you are using nylon or silk thread, simply make a knot (no larger than 3.0mm) in the thread and wrap the calotte around the knot. Secure the knot with glue if you prefer.

The punctured hole at top is designed to be used with jumps rings for you to attach your end fastenings.
