• Kerri

Cameos have so many wonderful uses, we just can’t get enough of them here at The Bead Shop. They provide the ideal vintage inspired touch to create beautiful pieces with an heirloom feel.

Rose Cameos
The thing that I love most about using cameos is that creating a beautiful piece is as easy or difficult as you want it to be.
Perfect for beginners starting on their beading journey, you need nothing more than a little glue, necklace chain, favourite cameo and mount to make an instantly wearable cameo necklace.
Of course, seasoned experts can always challenge themselves with intricately weaved seed beads and multi-strand necklaces: there is a project waiting for all skill sets and beading niches!
But, with so many cameos and mounts to choose from, it can be difficult to know where to start. I find the easiest way to begin is to pick your favourite cameo and use this as the inspiration behind your design. It really is worth letting the cameo lead your design, whether through colour, style or theme, as they are such an eye-catching feature piece.
With this in mind, I wanted to create some traditional and alternative cameo ideas to inspire you create your own vintage inspired piece to treasure forever.
