Bicone Beads
Bicone, meaning double cone or bi-cone, are beautiful, multi-faceted beads. This shape has been made popular by the Swarovski brand with their Xilion Bicone Beads, which have been cut with extra facets for optimum light refraction, and it's this that gives them their intense and brilliant sparkle. Our bicones are available in a great range of sizes, from the teeniest 2.5mm crystals to a bold 10mm in size as well as a phenomenal range of colours and finishes from simple crystal, to pastels, primaries, deep, exotic shades and fabulous shimmering blends!
Guide to the Finishes on Swarovski Bicone Beads
Swarovski Bicones come in a glorious range of finishes, which can be a little daunting to understand if you're not used to the terminology, so here's a little guide to give you a hand:
- AB - These beads have been coated in an AB or 'Aurora Borealis' effect, which is a glittering finish which enhances the sparkle of the crystal and gives it a multi-coloured shimmer when hit by light.
- AB 2x - Beads that have the AB 2x finish have been double coated with the 'Aurora Borealis' effect to give maximum sparkle; these beads flicker through a multitude of colours when caught in the light.
- Satin - A Satin finish gives a beautiful, saturated look to the crystal.
- Opal - Opal Bicones are soft, milky, opaline shades
