Beadalon 7 Strands from The Bead Shop

Beadalon 7 strands is a general purpose jewellery wire used in a wide range of jewellery projects, Beadalon 7 strands encases 7 fine strands of stainless steel within a nylon coating. Here at the bead shop we stock 3 different nylon coated multi stranded jewellery wires; 49 strands, 19 strands and 7 strands. 7 strand hold its shape more effectively than the others and would be ideal for use as a floating necklace using 6mm Czech glass beads and crimp beads to hold your beads in place. We supply beadalon 7 strands in 9 thicknesses ranging from 0.25mm to 0.66mm which includes the crinkle wire for a more dramatic finish. We also provide a wide variety of lengths from 3.5 metres to 305 meters as well as a large selection of colours ranging from the popular ‘bright’ to the more adventurous ‘rose silver’. We stock a wide range of jewellery making kits which include Beadalon 7 stranded wire, if you need a little inspiration to get you going why not have a go at one of these first?

7 Strand Beadalon 0.25mm (.010in) - Bright

7 Strand Beadalon 0.25mm (.010in) - Bright

There are a couple of things to keep in mind when selecting the appropriate wire for your project. The number of strands determines the flexibility of the wire and the greater the number of strands in the wire, the more flexible the wire will be. 49 strand is the most flexible and 7 strand the least. 49 strand wire is very supple and will give an elegant drape to your jewellery design where as 7 strand wire is not as flexible, but will hold its shape better.
If you are new to bead stringing or unsure how much flexibility you require, we recommend starting with our middle grade, 19 strand wire.
It is recommended that you use the largest diameter wire possible that will pass through the smallest bead hole in your design.

7 Strand Beadalon 0.38mm (.015in) - Bronze

7 Strand Beadalon 0.38mm (.015in) - Bronze
