Make yourself a unique watch

If you find buying a new watch tedious, because you can't find a style you like, don't worry: you can make one that it unique and personally designed by you. Sounds expensive, doesn't it? It isn't; all you need to do is get hold of a watch face with two small hoops or hooks, and make a strap out of beads, or wire, or ribbon, or anything else you fancy.

There is a big trend at the moment for textile/fabric combinations, so you could choose some ribbon, or a faux suede strip and thread some beads onto it. The colours can match the watch face, or you could even have different straps for different occasions or outfits.

How about having an antique style brushed copper watch face, combined with a deep brown faux suede strap. You could have a double strap for more security and style, and you'll be able to put more decoration on it too. Slip on some wooden beads or antique copper beads and have them spread out so that you can move them around if you like, but so that it isn't too crowded with beads.

You'll be able to wear it all summer, as the browns reflect the earthen, natural colours, and in winter as its dark, antique style fits with longer coats and warmer jumpers.
